Touch Rugby – Terms 1 and 4

Summary: Touch rugby is offered at Sacred Heart College in Terms 1 for both Juniors and Seniors and in Term 4 for Juniors only. All games are played at the Mitre 10 Sports Park, Hastings

Dependent on player numbers once registrations are in will determine how many teams we will have for each season.

Logistics: Depending on availability, transport may be arranged for students via staff in private vehicles and/or school minibuses if possible. In most cases, students are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from games.

Games: All games are played on Thursday after school in Terms 1 + 4 and held at the Mitre 10 Sports Park, Hastings.

Practices: Once teams are selected; practice days will be arranged around coaches' availability.

Uniforms: Students will be issued a top but need to wear their school pe shorts. If cold students are to wear their school sports hoodie or school jacket and own black sports trackpants to and from games. For warmth, players can wear a white, maroon, or black under-layer underneath their playing top.

Equipment: Touch boots or sports shoes are recommended to play in.

Sports Draw: All games details are available via our school sports draw which is updated weekly and will be available on our school sport Facebook page, school sport website and school sport app.
