Sacred Heart College welcomes 2025 student leaders

Sacred Heart College’s 2025 student leaders have stepped into their roles following their commissioning at the annual Leadership Mass.

Held at St Patrick’s Church, it is a long-standing tradition at the school and signified the beginning of their journey in guiding and supporting their peers throughout the year.

Principal Maria Neville-Foster congratulated the students and encouraged them to embrace their leadership roles with confidence, serve others with humility, and let their light shine within the school community.

“You are the light. Let your light shine before others, making a difference and inspiring those around you,” she told the leaders.

Alongside Head Girl Sneha Jenson and Deputy Head Girls Violet Unwin and Trustina Aluni, the 2025 student leadership team includes Cultural Leaders Sophia Ventura and Myah Lee, Academic Leaders Maria Greville and Smriti Nijjar, Arts Leaders Precious Paa and Lillian Cameron, Special Character Leaders Sophia Unwin and Sabine Toomer, and Sports Leaders Paige Jones and Laura Brassington.

Māori Leader Riana Foster (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Porou) expressed her commitment to continuing incorporating Māori culture within the school community.

"It's really important because I really want to bring Māori culture more into the school,” Riana said.
